An English translation of the Cultural Governance Code has been provided for English readers. In this translation, effort was made to adhere to the meaning of the original Code as closely as possible. This inevitably creates a few dilemmas, because the Dutch governance system differs significantly from the situation in English-speaking countries. Therefore, we have provided as much clarity as possible in the list of definitions.
